St. Patrick's NS: Glanworth 🌞Scór was established by the GAA in 1969 with the aim of promoting Ireland’s traditional past-times. There are eight events/disciplines in Scór that cover all aspects of Irish culture. The regional Scór competition was held in Glanworth hall, Monday the 19th of February. St. Patrick’s N.S. pupils represented the school in the following disciplines:
Solo Singing: Eoghan Desmond sang ‘Patsy Fagan’.
Recitation/Storytelling: Esther Lennon performed a piece called ‘I’m not ready’.
Ballad Group: James O’ Callaghan, Eoghan Desmond and Aoibheann Desmond sang two contrasting ballads, ‘The Green Fields of France’ and ‘Let the People Sing’.
Quiz: Danny O’ Keeffe, Finbarr Conran, Elijah Walsh and Frank O’ Brien were the four members of our quiz team.
All pupils did their very best on the night and represented the school so well. We are immensely proud of them all. Our quiz team won on the night and they are through to the final on the 3rd of March. We wish them all the best!
